Joe Buck's Wife, Michelle, Underwent Surgery On Wednesday

As Joe Buck unwinds from his first Monday Night Football game of the season and prepares for Week 2, his wife is on the mend from surgery.

Michelle Beisner-Buck, who like her husband works for ESPN, had a procedure performed on her ankle Wednesday.

Fittingly, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has the scoop on what happened, and Buck himself is to blame for his wife's medical issue.

"More ESPN injury news: @MichelleBeisner underwent surgery today to repair nerve damage in her fractured ankle that occurred during a freak accident when her husband Joe accidentally drove a golf ball into it, per sources," Schefter tweeted.

Fortunately, Beisner-Buck told Schefter she is "getting ready to roll back."

Interestingly, Beisner-Buck is the second ESPN personality to undergo surgery on Wednesday. NFL analyst Field Yates also went under the knife for a shoulder injury, which he suffered while tackling an inflatable football dummy on a beach in the Bahamas last month.

Joe and Michelle have been married since 2018 and have a pair of twin boys together. She actually started at ESPN before him, signing on as a features reporter in 2014.

Prior to that, the Denver native worked for NFL Network as a studio host and field reporter from 2006-14. From 1997-2003, she was a member of the Denver Broncos cheerleading squad.

Hopefully, she has a speedy recovery and can get back to her customary roles on Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown as soon as possible.
