Auburn Tigers freshman linebacker Demarcus Riddick means business ahead of a Week 14 matchup against Alabama, better known as the Iron Bowl.
The stakes could not be any more enormous. Auburn kept its bowl eligibility alive with an upset win against Texas A&M in its home finale last week, earning its second SEC victory.
On the contrary, Alabama is licking its chops after suffering its third regular season loss against Oklahoma in Norman on the same night. The Crimson Tide could only score three points, their fewest in over a decade. Quarterback Jalen Milroe also struggled immensely, throwing three interceptions.
Now, there is no room for error for Alabama. The Auburn game this Saturday is a must-win to make the College Football Playoff, even as a lower seed. Not only does it validate the SEC as one of, if not the best, conference in the nation, but it also shows that the Crimson Tide can win without Nick Saban and fully adjust to a new regime led by coach Kalen DeBoer.
Despite having never played in the game, Riddick took a shot at Ryan Williams, the 17-year-old wideout who has quickly turned heads as Alabama's go-to offensive playmaker.
