Although Diddy was once known for popping champagne and hosting lavish birthday parties, his 55th birthday will look quite different this year since he marked it behind bars.
Diddy turned 55 years old on Monday, November 4, and for breakfast, the disgraced mogul enjoyed items like cereal, fruit and a birthday cake, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to the New York Post.
The "Last Night" artist's 11 a.m. birthday lunch in prison included pasta with marinara sauce, meatballs and a garden salad. Meanwhile, at 4 p.m. the Bad Boy Records founder enjoyed his birthday dinner, which consisted of chicken or tofu fried rice, black beans and carrots.
Diddy has been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his September 16 arrest by Homeland Security. The entertainer was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution. After pleading not guilty, he has been held without bond.
According to an indictment obtained by In Touch, Diddy is accused of manipulating and luring women to participate in "Freak Offs," which were organized events involving sexual activities with female victims and male commercial sex workers. Diddy "arranged, directed, masturbated during" and often filmed the sexual performances, according to the charges against him.
The arrest followed a months-long investigation that included raids of his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami where authorities "seized various Freak Off supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant," the lawsuit said.
Diddy has maintained his innocence amid the allegations, with his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, telling TMZ on September 17, "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."
The detention center where he is being held is often described as "hell on earth" due to its poor conditions and In Touch obtained the very limited commissary list for inmates. The facility has been home to other high-profile detainees including R. Kelly, Ghislaine Maxwell and NXIVM sex cult founder Keith Raniere while awaiting their federal trials.
Although he was once known for his high-profile, champagne-popping life, Diddy now has a choice of purchasing a six-pack of water for $4.50, decaffeinated coffee for $3.55 or powdered milk for $5.75.
In addition, the music producer has to settle for a small selection of food. The commissary sells sugar-free honey for $3.70, jalapeño wheels for $3.20, peanut butter for $3.15, Velveeta cheese blocks for $3.70, chicken stock cubes for $1,80, tuna in Thai chili sauce for $2.50, turkey log with honey pepper for $2.70, a hot and spicy beef sausage log for $2.55, a spam pouch for $1.50, hot chili with beans for $1.95 or unsalted crackers for $1.95.
Other items include cheese, crackers, curry powder, chocolate covered pretzels, Chips Ahoy cookies, granola bars, cashews, unsalted peanuts, Snickers Bar, Hershey's Bar, sugar-free candy, macaroni & cheese and flour tortillas.
