Actor Tony Todd Passes Away At 69

Tony Todd, renowned for his iconic roles in Candyman, the Final Destination series, and Platoon, has died at the age of 69.

According to Deadline, his representatives confirmed that he passed away on November 6 at his home in Los Angeles, but the cause of death is unknown. The actor, born on December 4, 1954, in Washington, D.C., earned one of his first onscreen roles in Oliver Stone's *Platoon*, where he played Sergeant Warren.

He went on to guest star in several series throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including Law & Order, NYPD Blue, The X-Files, Star Trek, and MacGyver. His most famous role was portraying Candyman in the 1992 film. Todd also reprised the role in the 2021 sequel and continued roles in horror, such as playing funeral home director William Bludworth in the Final Destination franchise and 1994's The Crow.
