(CNN) - Scientists are giving us a rare glimpse at a newborn planet.
The planet is only three million years old and is considered a 'baby' in space.
A report by astronomers says infant worlds are usually hidden by other debris.
A science team led by an astronomer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill says it's the youngest planet so far discovered.
Researchers say the massive-sized planet is still glowing from the heat of its formation.
It's located in the Taurus molecular cloud, which is an active stellar nursery with hundreds of newborn stars.
The stellar nursery is some 430 light-years away.
Research on the new planet was published in the journal "Nature" this month.
