Sucré, the New Orleans-based luxury dessert shop, is coming to Baton Rouge in October.

The brand, which was established in 2007, offers macarons, gelato, baked goods and other French-inspired sweets in spaces with elegant and stylish decor. The Baton Rouge location is slated to open at 5720 Corporate Blvd., next to Mansurs on the Boulevard, in mid-October.

"Baton Rouge is the capital city of our home state, home of wonderful universities, a strong culinary culture and home to wonderful people," said Sucré co-owner and CEO James Vitrano in a text message.

Vitrano and his wife, Abney Harper, also own Prima Après, which recently opened in July at 4225 Nicholson Drive in Baton Rouge. Prima Après is a fast casual, build-your-own pasta and pavlova restaurant. Vitrano and Harper have been business partners for six years.

Sucré has four locations in New Orleans, one in Metairie and one in Woodstock, Georgia. The new location will be the first in Baton Rouge.
