Kroy Biermann Seeks Control of Mansion Sale as Ex Kim Zolciak's Spending Raises Alarm

The former NFL linebacker is pushing for complete authority over the sale of the Georgia mansion he shares with ex-wife, accusing her of reckless spending that has left them facing foreclosure.

AceShowbiz - Kroy Biermann, 38, filed a legal motion in August 2024, claiming that Kim Zolciak, 46, is blocking reasonable offers on their $3.95 million home. According to court documents, the property is at risk of foreclosure in October 2024, while Biermann asserts that Zolciak has squandered their finances with "frivolous spending."

The documents allege that Zolciak continues to make "claims of having no money" despite engaging in extravagant purchases, including expensive wine, clothes, plastic surgery, and gambling. This "complete disregard" of their financial situation, Biermann argues, will have severe consequences for them and their children.

Biermann's line of credit is particularly vulnerable as the mansion is in his name, while Zolciak's name is only on the deed. The documents reveal that the home has an IRS lien of $1.32 million, a mortgage debt of approximately $2.2 million, and additional liens totaling $250,000.

Zolciak has responded by stating that she pays all the bills and dismissed Biermann's allegations as a "game." She claimed that he threatened to "destroy" her if she divorced him and accused him of attempting to reconcile, which she rejected.

The property was initially priced at $6 million in October 2023, but the price has been repeatedly lowered, indicating the urgency of its sale to avoid foreclosure. The mansion features seven bedrooms, a six-car garage, a home theater, a 500-bottle wine cellar, and other amenities spread across 1.78 acres of land.

Biermann's request for an emergency hearing seeks to grant him full control over the sale process and remove Zolciak from decision-making. The foreclosure date looms large, and Biermann believes the sale is crucial to salvage their financial situation.

The couple had previously faced foreclosure in April 2023, but managed to delay the process by promising to sell the mansion. When their attempts proved unsuccessful, Truist Bank initiated a non-judicial foreclosure, leading to a legal battle that is ongoing.

Biermann's accusations reflect a difficult period for the former couple, who are also engaged in a high-profile divorce. Their final divorce hearing is scheduled for November 5 and 6, 2024. The outcome of the court proceedings will determine the division of assets and custody of their children.
