"Four-year-old Ariel Bibas and nine-month-old Kfir Bibas, who were taken by the militant group during the October 7 attack."

Sean told ITV viewers that hundreds of people gathered at the handover site on the outskirts of the Southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

He added: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that It would be a very difficult day for the state of Israel."

Along with Ariel and Kfir, the body of their mother, Shiri Bibas, was also handed over on Thursday. 84-year-old Oded Lifshitz was also among the four bodies released.

According to Sky News, they will undergo DNA tests in Tel Aviv to verify their identity. On February 1, Ariel and Kfir's father, Yarden Bibas, was released as part of the ceasefire deal.

This Saturday, six more Israeli hostages are set to be released by Hamas. A statement on the Hostage and Missing Families Forum says: "The Hostages and Missing Families Forum welcomes with profound joy the return of Eliya Cohen, Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wenkert, Hisham al-Sayed, and Avera Mengistu this Saturday."

This hasn't been the only breaking news Good Morning Britain has announced this week. On Tuesday, Charlotte Hawkins began the show by detailing the potential peace talks regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine.

She said: "We start with breaking news this morning. Within the next few minutes, peace talks are set to begin in Saudi Arabia that could determine the fate of Ukraine and the future of Europe.

"Representatives from the United States and Russia will come face to face to negotiate a ceasefire deal."

Since then, US President Donald Trump has aired his thoughts on the situation as he suggested Ukraine itself was to blame for Russia's invasion of their country.
