While the Detroit Lions 24-14 victory wasn't as exciting as many fans expected it to be, Fox still sent out their top broadcast team for this game, meaning that Erin Andrews was forced to endure the rainy and windy weather conditions all afternoon.
Making matters even worse, Andrews was accused of making up the weather report for this game by a local meteorologist. Andrews has since denied doing so, and even offered to show where she got the report from if the meteorologist wants.
Enduring some brutal weather and a strange accusation was certainly tough for Andrews, but luckily, she's got a pretty good friend in fellow sideline reporter and "Calm Down" podcast co-host Charissa Thompson. Thompson gushed over Andrews' appearance during Week 9, despite the constant rain and wind she was dealing with.
"It was a torrential downpour," Thompson said on their shared podcast. "The second my little cream machine popped up on that screen looking as cute as can be, only Erin can look that good in rain gear. She's got the wool sweater on. She's got the cute cream matching hat, matching boots. My girl was a monochromatic dream."
Wearing a flashy outfit in the rain can be a tough task, but Andrews made it look pretty easy in Week 9, and she got her flowers from Thompson, who gushed over her appearance despite the adverse conditions she dealt with.
While there was some concern that the weather controversy Andrews found herself at the center of could result in her facing some sort of discipline, it doesn't seem like that will happen. In fact, it seems like she already knows her Week 11 assignment.
Andrews will also be working in Week 10 first for the San Francisco 49ers-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, and thankfully for her, the weather looks much more pleasant than it was a week ago in Green Bay.
