Irving Consumer Products Ltd. is planning to expand its tissue plant in Macon and construct an automated warehouse at the site. The Phase III project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; purchase and erection of structural steel; installation of stock preparation equipment, a through-air-dried tissue paper machine, headbox, dryers, converting lines and an automated storage and retrieval system; and purchase and installation of supporting equipment and systems. The project will increase the plant's tissue production capacity from 165,000 tons per year to 248,000 tons per year. Mainspring Energy is planning to construct a power manufacturing plant at the Northfield Industrial Park in Coraopolis. The project's scope includes construction of a 300,000-sq-ft building; along with the purchase and installation of fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, assembly and testing equipment and systems. The manufacturing facility will have the capacity to produce 1,000 linear generators per year for use in hospitals, data centers, cold storage, microgrids and other industrial applications.
