Sheriff's detectives Friday asked the public for help locating 75-year-old Oswald Gerhard Altmetz, who was last observed from the Eaton Fire zone.

Altmetz was last contacted at 8 a.m. Jan. 7 in the 30 block of Pine Street and is believed to have been displaced by the Eaton Fire.

Altmetz is white, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information that could help locate Altmetz was asked to call the Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
