The Santa Maria Public Library will hold its first Coat Exchange, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Library's Shepard Hall, 421 S. McClelland St.
The event aims to prepare the community for the upcoming colder months through donations of gently worn coats and jackets.
Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to bring in gently worn coats and jackets for all ages to exchange with other members of the community. The library will not be accepting any other clothing at this time.
Space for sharing and exchanging coats for the event will be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
