Officers, K-9s killed in the line of duty honored on obstacle courses at Krawl'n For The Fallen in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. - Gear up those four-wheel vehicles and get ready to have some fun, whether trail riding, obstacle courses, or mudding, to honor all those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The 10th annual Krawl'n For The Fallen event, taking place November 8th -- 10th at the Keystone Heights Airport, features several activities to honor the nation's police officers and K-9s who were lost in the line of duty and show support from friends, family, and colleagues.

According to Off Road United, Krawl'n For The Fallen is one of Florida's largest off-road events. Over 2,000 participants showed off their jeeps and trucks, bringing together law enforcement and the community for fellowship and fun.

"A Memorial Night Ride will take place Saturday night at 9 p.m. There will be 300 Jeeps lined up for a memorial ride to remember the sacrifices made by the fallen police officers and K-9s and honor their courage. Survivors will be paired with Jeeps to experience the ride through luminaries, blue lights, flags that honor each fallen officer and K9 to pay respect to the families," Off Road United said in a press release.

On Saturday, a moment of silence occurred for recognition of the survivors, officers, and donors, followed by a survivor ride.

There is much to see and do with food trucks, vendors, and numerous police vehicles, including helicopters, boats, motorcycles, and more.

Plus, a photo moment with Star Wars Storm Troopers.

Demonstrations from the Clay County Sheriff show their riding techniques using their motorcycles and the K-9 unit.

"I love everything about this event. It's been going on for ten years and there is much to do here, plus I get to help the community and to show my support. Thanks to all our volunteers, staff, and everyone who came out to the event", said Christine Johnson - Event Coordinator.
