The Palm Canyon Theatre's 2024-25 schedule beings at 7 p.m. Friday evening with a production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Jacob Samples stars in the Frank Loesser musical as J. Pierrepont Finch, a young window cleaner who climbs the ranks to become a chairman of the World Wide Wicket Company.

Palm Canyon Theatre's production also features Georgia Smith as Rosemary Pilkington, Raul Valenzuela as Bud Frump and at least 10 other actors playing named characters, as well as a large ensemble cast. The play is directed by Se Layne.

In 1961, the original Broadway production of "How to Succeed in Business" won seven Tony awards, as well as New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The musical's popularity spawned a 1967 film and two revivals, the latter of which starred Daniel Radcliffe as Finch for 10 months.

The production will run until Sept. 22, with curtains opening at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
