CHARLOTTE, NC -- A battle between two teams from opposite ends of the country is set for Sunday afternoon, as the Los Angeles Chargers pay a visit to the Carolina Panthers.

Under new head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers were able to get their 2024 campaign started on the right foot. While their offense was adequate against the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, the Chargers' defense was even better. They forced three turnovers in a 22-10 win, with a couple of touchdowns from the offense in the fourth quarter helping seal the win. It was certainly not a pretty win for L.A., but for a squad that had a very disappointing end to last year, picking up a win in Harbaugh's return to the NFL is an appreciated sight.

Things could not have started any worse for the Panthers. Many hoped a year under the belt of quarterback Bryce Young would do him some good. After at least one game of his sophomore campaign, it has not. The former Alabama star threw for just 161 yards against the New Orleans Saints, getting picked off twice. Carolina only totaled 193 yards of total offense in a 47-10 beatdown in the Big Easy. If things don't improve fast, it will look like another long year for Panthers' fans.

Carolina has won six of the seven meetings with the Chargers, including the last encounter back in 2020.
