ENGLEWOOD - Last week, Bo Nix was named NFL Rookie of the Week. Now, he's the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Broncos rookie quarterback won the honor Wednesday after completing 28 of 33 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns in last Sunday's 38-6 win over Atlanta. He became the first NFL rookie quarterback to throw in a game for more than 300 yards with four or more touchdowns and a completion percentage of more than 80 (84.8%).
Nix, taken with the No. 12 pick in draft last April out of Oregon, has continued to get better as the season has progressed. After a so-so start in September, he was named Rookie of the Month for October.
