Currently, Vicky Kaushal is getting ready for his next movie, the periodical drama Chhaava. The movie is set to release on 6 December but, according to latest reports, the makers are planning to reschedule the release date as they want to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, which is releasing on the same day.
According to a report by Mid-Day, Kaushal's historical epic won't release on 6 December, averting the box office clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. Chhaava makers are likely to advance the release date, and an official announcement is soon expected.

Recently, sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), the makers of Pushpa 2 wrote, "The wait gets shorter. 50 days to witness Pushpa Raj and his blockbuster rule Pushpa 2: The Rule will be A NEW ERA OF INDIAN CINEMA THE RULE IN CINEMAS on 6th DEC 2024. 50 Days To Pushpa 2 Storm."
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule also features Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in pivotal roles. The movie is a sequel to the 2021 Pushpa: The Rise. The second part will further explore Pushpa's world of red sandalwood smuggling, and explore the challenges he faces as he rises to power.
Meanwhile, in Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In the teaser, he is seen fighting as a brave soldier. The actor left everyone impressed with his look and action in the small clip. Ahead of the teaser release, Kaushal took to social media to share the first poster of the film, where he is seen fighting hundreds of soldiers.
Kaushal's portrayal of the Maratha emperor might be compared to Ranveer Singh in Bajirao Mastani. Also, in Chhaava, Kaushal takes on the challenging role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna stars as his wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. It wrapped up filming earlier this year, and is already generating a lot of buzz.
