Prep Volleyball: Helias 3, Hickman 0

The Helias Lady Crusaders got back in the win column Thursday by notching a 25-20, 25-15, 25-15 sweep of the Hickman Kewpies to open Central Missouri Activities Conference play at Rackers Fieldhouse.

Hannah Hentges led the way with 13 kills and 14 digs, while Claire Carel, Kendal Herzing and Emma Hulsey each had six kills.

Sydney Suthoff had 19 assists, Liza Boyer had 14 digs and Lauren Schroeder added nine digs.

Helias (7-3, 1-0 CMAC) will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. Monday when it hosts Capital City.

The Lady Crusaders' JV team picked up a 21-25, 25-18, 25-16 victory to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Alyssa Scherr had 17 assists, eight digs and four kills, Addisyn Smith had nine assists and eight digs, Nora Lock finished with nine kills and Haylee Brauner added seven kills.

Hayley Hoffmann had 17 digs and Addison McMichael chipped in nine.

Helias' freshman team also won 25-20, 25-17.

Tess Bringegar had seven kills and six digs, Aspyn Price had four aces and six digs and Ella Bernskoetter had nine assists and seven digs.

Allison Bax had six assists, Sierra Wilson had six digs and Paige Schlup and Aubrie Bernskoetter had five kills each.

Helias improved to 4-1 with the victory and will be back in action Saturday when it hosts the Kelsey Toebben Memorial Tournament at Rackers Fieldhouse.
