WASHINGTON -- Grab your bamboo snacks and get ready to swoon! The Smithsonian's National Zoo just dropped the latest snapshots of their panda-tastic new residents, Bao Li and Qing Bao, and it's safe to say these black-and-white cuties are stealing the show at the Asia Trail exhibit.
The fluffy duo moved into their new digs in October, and they're already making themselves right at home -- one bamboo bite at a time. According to zookeeper Mariel Lally, these pandas are full of surprises, each with a personality all their own. Lally shared that at first, Qing Bao was a bit of a mystery, keeping her distance and showing off her independent streak. But after a month, Lally's relationship with Qing Bao has warmed up. "She's still a little on the independent side," Lally laughed, adding that she may need to call the bear a few times before Qing Bao decides to come over.
