OnePlus 12 gets stable Android 15 update, rolling out now without AI features

Not long after its official announcement last month, OnePlus has just started rolling out the official, stable Android 15 for the OnePlus 12 in regions across the globe.

In a post today, OnePlus has confirmed that OxygenOS 15, based on Android 15, is now rolling out to the OnePlus 12. The update is out a week ahead of schedule, the company says. Things were clearly moving quickly, as OnePlus had just announced the Open Beta for this update for OnePlus 12 owners in Europe this week. The Open Beta never even went live for users in North America.

OxygenOS 15 is a big update on top of Android 15, bringing several new AI features as well as a huge overhaul to OnePlus' animations for faster and smoother interactions throughout the OS. It also brings Open Canvas, our favorite feature from the OnePlus Open, over to the slab form factor of the OnePlus 12.

The update is rolling out in the EU, in North America, in India, and to global variants of the phone starting today. OnePlus says the update will reach users in "batches" through the rest of the week.

Notably, you won't find OnePlus' new AI features in this initial update, as OnePlus says they are "still being tested" and will be "gradually integrated" through the month of November.

Please note:

To provide the signature fast and smooth OnePlus experience, AI-related features are still being tested and will be gradually integrated in future versions by the end of this month.

Notably, this is the first non-Pixel Android 15 update that's been made available in the US, and one of the first to go global as well.

OnePlus will continue to roll out Android 15, both in stable and beta updates, to over a dozen devices over the coming months.
