Sean Diddy Combs' world just came crashing down around him hard. The rapper was taken into custody on Monday evening by the FBI following a grand jury indictment. Combs was taken into custody and is currently being held at an FBI field house in Manhattan.

TMZ reports their sources tell them that Homeland Security swooped into a midtown hotel late Monday where Diddy was staying and took the rapper into custody. The outlet adds they have unconfirmed reports the feds are searching his hotel room.

Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, released a statement on Sean Comb's behalf: "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean "Diddy" Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."

Agnifilo adds, "He is an imperfect person but is not criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide. He looks forward to clearing his name in court."

Despite Agnifilo's strong statement on behalf of Sean Diddy Combs, over the decades, the rapper has been plagued by a long list of violent and criminal accusations. However, federal prosecutors have been silent since the raid on Diddy's homes earlier this year. They have quietly delivered subpoenas to potential witnesses as they built their case against Mr. Combs.
