Driver dies in crash, Cass County deputies say

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) -- A driver died and four people were injured in a crash near Cassopolis Sunday morning, deputies said.

Around 10:20 a.m., a vehicle was headed south on Dailey Road in Jefferson Township but did not stop at the stop sign at M-60, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say that caused another vehicle, which was headed northeast on M-60, to crash into the first.

The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office said.

The driver and three passengers in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries.
