Riverside's fire chief is retiring from one of his jobs -- Adam Manning has been a Pell City firefighter, too -- but the 25-year-plus veteran of the profession will still be on the job in Riverside.

Mayor Rusty Jessup made the announcement during Monday's Riverside City Council meeting, saying that the city was fortunate to have Chief Manning remain with the city.
