In volleyball

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 2, Heritage 0. Reis McFarland had a 16-kill, 16-dig double-double to lead an 11-assist, four-kill effort from Mallory Brines and a 14-kill, three-ace output from Macy Danner in a 25-23, 25-20 win for the visiting Blue Devils (4-2) over the Hawks (4-6-1) in nonconference play. Addi Hopper had 10 digs for the Hawks.

Cissna Park 2, Salt Fork 0. Ella Schluter had 15 assists and Addison Lucht collected 11 digs and nine kills to guide the Timberwolves (7-1) to a 25-17, 25-20 victory over the Storm (3-1) in Vermilion Valley Conference play. Rain Pitlik had nine kills and five blocks for Salt Fork.

Deer Creek-Mackinaw 2, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 0. Despite six digs apiece from Bailey Bunting and Bailey Fitzpatrick and five kills from Maci Lindelof, the Falcons (6-3) were dispatched by the Chiefs in a Heart of Illinois Conference match.

Eureka 2, Fisher 0. The Bunnies (4-5) sustained a HOIC setback on their home floor despite three kills from Paige Hott, two digs apiece from Maylie Evans and Emily Landers and two assists apiece from Brooklyn Kellems and Bella Kelsey.

Mahomet-Seymour 2, Mattoon 0. Eight digs and six kills from Ellie Barker and 11 assists and four digs from Erin Dallas helped the host Bulldogs (7-1) collect a 25-10, 25-9 win over the Green Wave in an Apollo Conference match.

Monticello 2, Tuscola 1. Eleven kills from Emerson Snook, 11 assists and 10 kills from Sierrah Downey and 23 assists from Addison Finet helped the visiting Sages (8-3) claim a nonconference match against the Warriors (4-4) by a score of 25-10, 23-25, 25-22. Lilly Kurtz had four kills to lead the Warriors' offense.

Paris 2, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 0. Milee Ellis had 11 kills and Rubyrae Fraser-Soule assisted on 12 kills in a 25-23, 25-20 road loss for the Buffaloes (2-5).

Paxton-Buckley-Loda 2, Milford 0. Aubrey Busboom had 12 assists and nine digs and Ellie Dirks had six kills to lead a 25-15, 25-22 victory for the Panthers (4-3) over the Bearcats (1-5).

St. Joseph-Ogden 2, Casey-Westfield 0. Twelve kills from and 15 digs from Ava Seggebruch and 22 assists from Emma McKinney helped the host Spartans (4-5) catalog a 25-21, 25-20 victory over the Warriors in nonconference play.

Unity 2, Clinton 1. Jillian Schlittler had nine kills and three digs and Katie Ruggieri, Lindy Bates and Shelby Smith had six kills apiece to help the Rockets (8-5) clinch a 25-20, 26-28, 25-17 victory over the Maroons (1-4) in a nonconference match on their home floor.

Watseka 2, Clifton Central 0. Christa Holohan registered 22 assists and two aces, Megan Martin added 10 kills and Noelle Schroeder tallied 15 digs to help the host Warriors (8-3) score a 25-7, 25-14 victory in nonconference play.

In boys' soccer

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 5, Rantoul 2. Bryson Lithgow scored twice and Dylan Davis, Irving Jesus and Noah Rice added additional goals to help the Blue Devils (4-1) past the Eagles (2-3-1) in Bismarck. Joel Aparicio and Sandoval Ochoa scored goals for Rantoul.

Blue Ridge 4, Judah Christian 0. Nils Pfaff scored four goals for the host Knights (1-0) en route to a comfortable win over the Tribe (1-3), with Devin Wrestler, Josh Berkler, Indra Nolan and Ben Clevenger adding assists over the course of the nonconference contest.

Centennial 1, Normal Community 1. Nemo McKissick scored on an assist from Tyler Luchinski and Nate Piercey recorded 10 saves as the Chargers (1-5-1) drew a Big 12 Conference match on their home turf.

Champaign Central 2, Danville 1. Abel Vines recorded a hat trick to help the Maroons (2-4) down the Vikings (2-2-2) in a Big 12 match on their home field.

Fisher/Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 3, St. Joseph-Ogden 3. Mason Domain, Cody Muller and Sid Pfoff scored goals for the host Bunnies (5-1-1), who held off three second-half goals from the visiting Spartans (7-2-1) en route to a nonconference draw. Parker Baillie saved seven shots for F/GCMS on its home field. Zach Harper, Alex Acosta and Davin Alvarez scored for the Spartans.

Hoopeston Area 2, Schlarman 0. A pair of second-half goals -- one apiece for Bricyn Jones and Gage Foster -- lifted the host Cornjerkers (3-4) to a win over the Hilltopers (0-5) in Vermilion Valley Conference play.

Oakwood/Salt Fork 5, Georgetown-Ridge Farm 0. Mason Swartz, Pedro Rangel IV, Ethan Merritt, Tucker Pesek and Aidan O'Brien found the back of the net for host Oakwood/Salt Fork (7-0) throughout a Vermilion Valley Conference win over the Buffaloes, who were led by Matthew Darling's 18-save performance. Rangel IV, Cooper McRae and Macen Phillips added assists for the Storm, with Phillips earning his 11th assist of the season and his program-record 59th assist.

Watseka/Milford 7, Iroquois West 0. Three goals from Jose Tobar, two goals and two assists from Narciso Solorzano and additional goals from Owen Avelar and Brian Morales-Macias helped the Warriors (3-2) down the host Raiders (2-6) in a Vermilion Valley Conference contest.

In boys golf

At Danville. Cruz Dubois carded a 41 to help Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (182) dispatch Salt Fork (190), Westville (191) and Oakwood (236) at Danville Country Club, with Kendall Shults (45) leading the Storm, Austin Shannon (43) leading the Tigers and Xander Wilson and Rudy Hunsberger (45) leading the Comets.

At Rantoul. Asher Pruemer's round-low 42 helped St. Joseph-Ogden (179) past Armstrong-Potomac (193) at Brookhill Golf Course.

At Rantoul. Leading a collective 143 for Mahomet-Seymour were Reis Claybrooke (33) and Jackson Bohm (36) as the Bulldogs defeated Monticello (159) and Rantoul/Paxton-Buckley-Loda (163) at Willow Pond Golf Course. Maddux Quick and Andrew Neef led the Sages at 38 and Eli Donaldson and Justin Merrill paced the Eagles at 40.

In girls golf

At Fairbury. Watseka (224) edged Prairie Central (228) at Indian Creek Golf Course thanks to strong efforts from Ainsley Urban (54), Rennah Barett (55), Kyah Westerfield (57) and Sophie Simpson (58), while Abbey Bachtold (55) paced the Hawks.

At Rantoul. Mahomet-Seymour's quartet of Brooke Hartman (79), Sophie Park (83), Makenna Peterka (88) and Katie Hunter (90) helped the Bulldogs card a 340 to win the Champaign/Piatt County tournament at Willow Pond Golf Course. Ashley Wells led St. Thomas More's second-place 368 with an 80, Macy Printer led Monticello's third-place 374 with an 89 and Makenna Gray led Champaign Central's fourth-place 463 with a 99.

At Sullivan. Devon Richardson shot a 42 and Shea Ellis carded a 43 to power Sullivan (184) past Villa Grove (231) at Sullivan Country Club, with Ella Schweighart (41) earning medalist honors for the Blue Devils.

In girls swimming

At Champaign. Champaign Central scored 150 team points to defeat Mahomet-Seymour (143) and Danville (15) in a triangular meet at Unit 4 Pool, with Babette Bradley (200 yard individual medley in 2:11.64 and 100 breaststroke in 1:07.96) and Maggie Caithamer (500 freestyle in 5:37.79) earning individual wins for the Maroons. Raegan O'Donnell won two events for the Bulldogs -- the 200 freestyle in 1:59.29 and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.28 -- a feat that was matched by Talynn O'Donnell in the 50 freestyle (25.13) and 100 freestyle (54.42).

In girls tennis

At Urbana. Catherine Ra (6-2, 6-0), Luciana Grant (6-1, 6-0), Lauren Waldhoff (6-2, 6-0) and Kaitlynn Ballard (6-1, 6-2) won singles matches for St. Thomas More in a 7-2 win over host Urbana, with Ra and Grant (6-0, 6-0), Waldhoff and Lydia Case (6-0, 6-2) and Ballard and Guilia Bedina Jacobini (6-4, 3-6, 1-0) recording doubles wins. Ananyah Tangmunarunkit (6-3, 6-0) and Gwen McClean (6-0) won singles matches for the Tigers.
