Lions make flurry of roster moves, Texans activate WR Nico Collins ahead of 'SNF'

The Detroit Lions may have to face Houston's star wideout after all.

Saturday afternoon, the Texans officially activated wide receiver Nico Collins from injured reserve to the active roster. Collins has missed Houston's last four games due to a hamstring injury and is still considered questionable for Sunday night against the Lions, but his activation is obviously a big step in the right direction for him.

The Texans are already down Stefon Diggs, who suffered a torn ACL two weeks ago, and top remaining wide out, Tank Dell, popped up on the injury report Friday with a back injury. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud struggled mightily last week without Diggs and Collins, so getting Collins back against the Lions would be huge for Houston.

Meanwhile, the Lions made a series of roster moves ahead of the game in Houston.

Detroit waived defensive lineman Isaiah Thomas, put linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin on injured reserve and signed:

Tight end Shane Zylstra,Linebacker Abraham Beauplan, andDefensive lineman Al-Quadin Muhammad.

All three of those guys have previously spent time with the Lions, and Muhammad was already on the practice squad.

Finally, the Lions elevated linebacker Ezekiel Turner and offensive lineman Jamarco Jones from the practice squad, providing more depth with Reeves-Maybin and left tackle Taylor Decker out.

Kickoff on Sunday night is slated for 8:20 p.m. (ET).
