An empty shed greets visitors at the entrance of the Haunted Asylum Halloween attraction "Trail of Terror" at the abandoned Marshallia Ranch at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Lompoc's annual Haunted Asylum attraction closed out Halloween 2024, welcoming its last wave of fun-seekers over the weekend with a thrilling "Trail of Terror" tour at the abandoned Marshallia Ranch property where creatures came out to play.
The haunted trail invited Halloween stragglers Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to midnight, for a frightening walk around the terror course through darkness, silence and scares.
Marshallia Ranch, formerly a golf course and future home of Vandenberg's Space Force Base museum, is located north of the military installation.
A private volunteer organization comprised mainly of active-duty personnel from Vandenberg, the Peacekeepers Association, hosts the annual attraction to raise funds to support programs at the base.
