NFC West in shambles as Rams and Niners face weeks without best receivers

The NFL remains the undefeated king of reminding you: never take anything for granted.

Within 30 hours of the Seattle Seahawks needing a blocked kick and overtime to defeat a New England Patriots team few thought formidable, the NFC continued its torrential freefall into chaos.

49ers receiver Deebo Samuel is out a couple weeks with a calf injury.

Los Angeles, already down 0-2, is about ready to just write the season off at this point. Cooper Kupp is now a strong candidate for hitting Injured Reserve this week.

The departure of Jonah Jackson is pretty unbelievable as well, because it's not like the Rams had spare NFL-caliber linemen left at this point.

As we've noted earlier, Seattle doesn't play the Niners until Week 6 and Los Angeles until Week 9, but both teams look extremely beatable in the interim.

The NFC West has suddenly flipped on its head with the Seahawks and Cardinals at first and second in the division with the healthier rosters at the moment.
