PEACOCK users have just days to claim their portion of a settlement worth $3.74 million.

The NBCUniversal network is dishing out checks to customers who were charged for an automatic subscription renewal without warning.

According to the class action lawsuit, Peacock charged customers for automatically renewing subscriptions and their associated fees without giving them the proper disclosures and authorizations first.

These auto renewals allegedly violated California law and anyone affected with a California billing address is eligible to file a claim.

To file a claim, you must also have been affected between September 15, 2019, and February 27, 2024.

Peacock bosses have not admitted any wrongdoing but they have agreed to pay more than $3.74 million to resolve the case.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive an equal share of the staggering cash pot.

Exact payments will vary depending on the number of claims filed, but each claimant is expected to receive around $18.33.

The deadline to file a claim is November 13 but there is another date to be aware of.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for November 21, 2024.

Subscribers who think they could receive a payment have to complete a form.

It can either be submitted online or mailed to an address in Portland, Oregon.

Subscribers must then verify their email and billing addresses.

Once the form has been completed, subscribers will receive a unique code.

Customers filing a claim have also been warned they will not get anything if they don't complete the document.

Payments will be sent as a check or deposited to online accounts.

The check, however, will expire if it is not cashed in within 180 days.

If that happens, the unlucky customer will get nothing.

Peacock currently has more than 30 million subscribers.
