Michael Che Reveals 1 of Colin Jost's 'SNL' Jokes Made Him 'Furious,' Says He Threatened to Quit | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment

The comedian costars have shared Weekend Update duties for years now, and they've told their share of jokes in the seats.

During a recent podcast appearance, they were asked if they ever disliked each other's jokes. Michael revealed that one of Colin's quips made him so "furious" that he threatened to leave the set.

"I was pretty furious about that one," he recalled, via EW.

He continued, saying, "I remember in run-through when you did it, because I never heard it before. I don't remember what the setup was, but the punchline was 'jalapeño business.' And I was like, 'If you tell that joke on air, I'm leaving. I'm quitting the show.' And he did it on air and it destroyed. And I was so frustrated. I was so frustrated. I was like, 'I don't even know what we do anymore.'"

Colin said that he had considered removing the joke from the set. But he decided he was "definitely, definitely" keeping it in after he saw how his costar responded.

What was the joke? It's from all the way back in May 2015 and went like this: "Ohio police arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend for eating all of their salsa. Though you'd be angry too if your boyfriend was jalapeño business."
