Where Raiders' Brock Bowers ranks in yards, catches among rest of NFL

Rookie tight end Brock Bowers showed exactly why Las Vegas Raiders general manager Tom Telesco simply could not pass up on him in April's draft in what was a career-best performance in the Week 2 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Bowers finished with nine receptions for 98 yards in the 26-23 win, and both of those marks were career-highs for him. Only star wide receiver Davante Adams had more catches and yards in the game.

The rookie now owns the franchise record for the most catches (15) by a Raiders rookie pass-catcher over his first two games, breaking Amari Cooper's previous mark of 12.

His 15 receptions are the most for a rookie tight end in his first two games in NFL history since 1960, and Bowers also has the most receiving yards by a Raiders rookie tight end over his first two games.

Bowers is now off to one hell of a start to his career. Here's where he ranks in receiving yards among tight ends, and receptions among all pass-catchers

Of course, Bowers is first in the NFL in catches among all tight ends, if you didn't catch that already. He also ranks 12th among all pass-catchers in receiving yards, and is tied for fifth in catches of 20-plus yards.

I'm not sure the Raiders could have drawn up the start to his career any better than it has turned out. Bowers will look to keep the good times rolling in a Week 2 matchup against the Carolina Panthers in Las Vegas.
