The addition of Springdale's Isaiah Sealy, a consensus 4-star prospect, to the University of Arkansas 2025 men's basketball signing class, gives the Hogs nice athleticism and versatility.
ESPN national recruiting director Paul Biancardi praised the latest announced signee for Razorback Coach John Calipari.
"Sealy's talent has consistently been noticeable over the past few years, with his skill set, basketball IQ and rebounding," Biancardi said. "Standing out as a big wing he possesses a unique ability to read and react often turning potential breakdowns into scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates."
Sealy, 6-7, 200 pounds, announced his college decision Nov. 16 and picked the Hogs over Ole Miss, California and Boston College.
He averaged 28.2 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.8 block shots and 1.3 steals per game for the Bulldogs as a junior and was named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's All-Arkansas Preps second team.
As a sophomore, Sealy led the Bulldogs to the 6A state championship game while averaging 17 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots.
Sealy, who attended the Hog's 79-67 victory at Walton Arena over Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday night, shined at the prestigious Pangos All-American Camp on June 2-4, where he averaged 14.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1 blocked shot in three games,
He is listed as ESPN's No. 55 overall recruit, the No. 15 small forward in the nation and the No. 1 prospect in Arkansas.
"His three point shot is capable, but his best work right now is done inside the arc," Biancardi said. "He will give Arkansas a productive wing player with a very real upside."
Sealy joined 5-star prospects Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas in Arkansas' signing class.
"The prospect of combining Darius Acuff, Meleek Thomas, and Isaiah Sealy for the Arkansas backcourt next season creates a dynamic blend of skill, athleticism, and versatility," Biancardi said.
ESPN rates Arkansas' class No. 3 nationally, only behind Duke and Connecticut.
Arkansas is the only school with two 5-star signees at this time, according to On3.com's industry ranking. Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Notre Dame, Houston have one 5-star signee each. There are seven 5-star prospects who have yet to sign and will have the opportunity to do so in the spring.
The Hogs are still recruiting two 5-star prospects -- 6-10 center Chris Cenac of Link Academy in Brandon and Nate Ament, a 6-9 forward of Warrenton (Va.) Highland. ESPN rates Cenac as the No. 7 prospect in the nation, while Ament is the No. 4 recruit nationally.
