The "Bills Mafia" Has Already Donated More Than $16K To Tua Tagovailoa's Foundation

The fans up in Buffalo might fit the stereotype of table breakers, volunteer snow shovelers, and ketchup/mustard shower takers (look it up), but they also can be described as charitable. Time and time again, when the Bills fanbase can rally together to raise money for a good cause, they've done so - and they've been busy getting out the checkbooks since Buffalo's recent matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

It was in that game that Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered what is believed to be his third concussion in a matter of a few years. He exited the game and was ruled out almost immediately after taking a scary hit, and ever since then, questions and rumors about Tua's future in the NFL have been swirling online.

Obviously, no one wants to see Tagovailoa give up the game. He's one of the most prolific passers in the league, and he can throw the deep ball as good as anybody. Tua's truly an exciting and excellent player. But from what everyone says, he's an even more impressive human being off the football field, and Buffalo Bills fans seem to understand that quite well.

After Tua went out, and the Bills rolled over the Dolphins 31 to 10, it would have been easy for the Bills Mafia to celebrate their win and move on. Instead, they rallied together, tracked down Tagovailoa's foundation - The Tua Foundation - and have donated more than $16 thousand dollars to the cause.

That's some world class sportsmanship from the Buffalo Bills fanbase.

As you'll see if you scroll through on ESPN's post above, the Bills Mafia has a history of donating money in large amounts when the time calls for it. When Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome leg injury last season, Bills fans stepped up and flooded Chubb's foundation with donations. In 2017, when Andy Dalton and the Bengals won a regular season game that ended up allowing for the Bills to squeak into the playoffs, Bills Mafia donated over $400,000 to Dalton's foundation.

And back in 2022, when Tua suffered his second concussion of that season, the Bills fanbase stepped up and made large donations. They might be table-breakers up there in Buffalo, but they also aren't afraid to break open their wallets to give to others.
