ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision in Orangeburg County earlier today.

Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover reported that the collision happened at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Dec. 25 on Dragstrip Road at Peach Street, approximately 1.1 miles east of Livingston.

A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was the only vehicle involved and the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling west on Dragstrip Road when it drove off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the collision.

The coroner has not yet released the name of the deceased.
