Fox News Slams White House's Biden 'Cover-Up' Amid WSJ Report Allegations

A Fox News journalist ripped into his fellow White House correspondents for not asking more questions about President Joe Biden's mental acuity on Friday following an explosive Wall Street Journal report alleging he had cognitively declined.

During a Saturday appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend, senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy lamented not having in the White House press briefing room to ask about the report, which claimed staffers hid Biden's diminished cognition.

"Yesterday, there were zero questions about this huge Wall Street Journal story that cites 50 people familiar with, apparently, the biggest cover-up in Washington since Watergate," said Doocy.

He added, "The story, it was 18 pages long when I printed it, but the gist is that there were staff, unelected White House staff, who knew during the last campaign and transition that President Biden might be diminished, and they actively worked to hide that information from the American public."

Journalists in the White House press briefing room on Friday mostly focused on the government spending bill, but Doocy said his colleague Jacqui Heinrich was planning on asking about the WSJ report if she'd been called on.

"Typically when I am in the White House press briefing room getting an arm workout for the first hour, I've got a list," Doocy told Fox & Friends Weekend co-hosts Griff Jenkins and Carley Shimkus.

"If something that I'm curious about comes up 20 times, I'll cross it out and go to the next thing," said Doocy. "I don't know if nobody else had this on their list of questions or if it's just still so uncomfortable to ask even though this White House has, as of yesterday, only a month left."
