For the first time in the show's history, ESPN's College GameDay is in Berkeley, California, home of the Cal Golden Bears.
Cal is set to host top-10 foe Miami in what could be a major showing for the Bears - if they can slow down the Hurricanes vaunted offense led by quarterback Cam Ward. Students from the school started lining up in the wee hours of the morning, thanks to a call from this morning's guest picker and former Cal star running back Marshawn Lynch.
In fact, the Cal faithful was so strong they broke through their lines and created a mass of bodies storming towards the College GameDay set. Whenever College GameDay visits a campus for the first time things tend to get a little wild and that's certainly the case at Berkeley today - but we're not even done telling the full story yet.
In addition to storming the set, Cal students also chastised host Rece Davis for wearing a red tie. Why? Well, they weren't too happy Rece was decked out in a crimson tie, the color of their rivals: Stanford.
With a little help from Kirk Herbstreit and company, Cal fans were able to get Rece to disrobe the tie and cast it into the morning.
