The New York Jets dropped an odd game to the Denver Broncos in Week 5, losing 10-9. The worst part about the loss was the Broncos' defense got after Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers plenty and often.

Rodgers was noticeably beat up after the game and revealed on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he was dealing with knee swelling. Considering Rodgers is now 40 years old, a knee injury of this degree became rather concerning.
Rodgers then popped up on the injury report this week as a limited participant, though he only missed the stretching portion of practice on Wednesday. Now, the Jets have offered a huge update on where the signal-caller is health-wise.
According to Adam Schefter, "Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, who opened this week with a limited practice due to a knee injury, is off the injury report and good to start Sunday's game in London against the Vikings."
Schefter indicated that the Jets have taken Rodgers off the injury report, and he will be fully ready to go in London when the Jets take on the Minnesota Vikings. The good news is Rodgers' injury was only minor. The bad news is that will be playing an even tougher Vikings defense.
Rodgers knows the Vikings well considering he was on the Green Bay Packers for the majority of his career, and Minnesota was one of his biggest rivals. However, this Vikings team has been on a tear.
The team is currently 4-0 and is looking great on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Sam Darnold is having a career year already after being a backup for the last few seasons.
The Vikings defense has defensive stars in Johnathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel. The pair of linebackers have seven total tacks between them. Simply put, the Jets' offensive line needs to find a way to protect Rodgers even more.
The Jets are currently 2-2 and are looking like they might be a decent team down the stretch. They have lost to the San Francisco 49ers and Broncos but beat the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, both of which don't look like playoff contenders.

Still, if the Jets can stop the Vikings on Sunday and come away with a win, they will look like a wholly competitive team. This Jets team lives and dies on Rodgers being healthy and under center. When he tore his Achilles in Week 1 of 2023, the team just couldn't get things going offensively.
The Jets already look far better with Rodgers right now, but the hope is his knee injury is nothing that can be re-aggravated.
