Former New England Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick, is set to return to the sidelines this fall as the head man for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Despite already being introduced by the school as head coach, reports have begun to suggest that Belichick could decide to return to the NFL, particularly with the Cowboys job now up for grabs.
However, Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Isabella, put a stop to those rumors on January 16, via a social media post.
The Instagram post features a picture of Jordon and Bill with the caption reading: "Pictured: two people who are overtly committed to the [North Carolina]."
If Bill Belichick's tenure at North Carolina is anything like his NFL Career, Tar Heel fans have a lot to be excited about. Belichick and future Hall of Famer Tom Brady erected a dynasty with the New England Patriots, delivering six Super Bowl titles to the franchise.
"Me and coach Belichick, we did what we loved and competed for 20 years together," Brady said per The Athletic. "But I wasn't going to sign another contract [in New England] even if I wanted to play until [I was] 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn't going to sign up for more of it."
Things had soured so badly to the point that Brady had voiced his concerns to Patriots head coach Robert Kraft. Kraft noted that Brady often yearned for Belichick's approval, which the former Patriots head coach was often reluctant to give.
