Two people are at the hospital after Kansas City police officers say they were hit while crossing the street. Officers got the call to 39th and Pennsylvania before 2 a.m. Saturday. They say the two pedestrians were crossing 39th Street from south to north. A blue Honda Accord had a green traffic light, and the pedestrians walked right in front of the Honda and were struck. The driver of the Honda is cooperating with the investigation.Paramedics took the two pedestrians to a local hospital with critical injuries. KCPD says the Honda driver showed no signs of impairment. The first pedestrian is currently in critical condition, and the second pedestrian is currently in serious condition.
